LA GRANDE ODYSSEE – a second try

The 2020 Odyssee was a very special race. Too much snow, not enough snow, icy and rellay dangerous trails. It is no good when an unlimited class driver is afraid to drive downhill with six dogs.

The team did really fine. In Les Gets I had to load a dog in a 20% steep hill, and in Praz de Lys my leaders turned the team several times in a 30% climb. The second Odyssee was for sure the last one for me.

The take – away from the 2022 Odyssee: pride to have finished – disappointment because of poor trails – and a Corona infection
